Tiny Crosswords is a little puzzle game for mobile platforms developed by Magneticat Games. The traditional crossword format and mechanics were updated to work as drag-and-drop rather than fill-in. This was devised to make use of the potential of touchscreen technology. The interface was designed to be at the same time quirky and unobtrusive. Basic bold colors, shapes and type were preferred to convoluted graphics. A matching logo, featuring the little block-head character—unofficially named Taku—was designed for the game and is featured as an interactive element throughout the app.
